WICIシンポジウム2022

<Event Description>

This year's fifteenth WICI Symposium is based on our philosophy, which it is crucial for any organizations to clarify and address their own value creating management based on integrated thinking by utilizing the intellectual assets (human assets, organizational assets, and related assets), namely intangible assets. Under the key theme of "Sustainability-related Standards and Integrated Thinking Management," the Symposium will generate valuable discussions on how to manage each company’s intangibles to create value and impact, and how to report on them and communicate with investors and other stakeholders through utilizing the disclosure standards and tools that will be compiled in the future.

In the trend toward standardization of non-financial information on a global scale, we invite experts and practitioners in each field to discuss a wide range of issues and exchanges of opinions with participants. These include sessions on reviewing Japan's integrated report worldwide, discussions on what types of value or impact companies will form based on what intangibles, from the perspective of investors and companies, and discussions on the intangibles of human capital, which has attracted attention recently.

Evolution Theory of Integrated Reporting in Japan: Comparing Integrated Reporting in Japan and Overseas

Overview: WCI Japan Integrated Reporting Review System is now in its tenth year, and not only will the number of companies issue it increase year by year, but also there is a trail of progress in its content. Therefore, we would like to discuss what kind of information and how to disclose in the future by evaluating Japanese companies' integrated reports on a global standard by analyzing the evolution of Japan's integrated reports over the past decade and comparing them with excellent integrated reports overseas.

We welcome academics who have a high level of insight into non-financial information and integrated reporting research, and we plan to hold frank exchanges of opinions and discussions on the state of integrated reporting one step and two steps ahead in the course of standardization.
